Fuze has taken the most thrilling step yet in its mission to simplify the messy world of unified communications and collaboration. It is with great excitement that I announce that Fuze has been acquired by ThinkingPhones, a leader in the unified communications as a service (UCaaS) market.

For the last few years, we have been working hard – around the clock at some points – to create the best video conferencing solution on Planet Earth (our lawyers won’t let us stake claim to Fuze being the best in the Universe). What does being the best mean? In a nutshell: simple, fun, and intuitive to use. It also means that it works anywhere, on the devices you use most, and that it’s the highest quality imaginable. At its finest, the Internet is a splendid thing, but when it’s not the best, it’s quite a crappy thing.

But we have only solved part of the problem.

ThinkingPhones is a company focused on solving the evolving collaboration challenges of today’s increasingly mobile and social workforce by seamlessly unifying voice, text, and conferencing services on a single cloud platform. That’s a tall order.

They have tremendous momentum and have received analyst recognition that includes being named a three-time Gartner Magic Quadrant for UCaaS “Leader,” a three-time Gartner Magic Quadrant for UCaaS “Visionary,” and a Frost & Sullivan UCaaS “Company of the Year.”

It doesn’t take a video algorithm specialist to see we were meant to join forces. Our companies share the common vision of a world of high quality, mobile first, user-oriented collaboration tools. We both understand that video is an increasingly critical part of effective workplace communication and that it needs to go alongside voice, chat, messaging, and conferencing.

ThinkingPhones has a proven track record of growth and staying ahead of market trends. With our combined resources, we will have the ability to transform phone service, conferencing, and meetings into an engaging and seamless experience that spans all the ways people interact and collaborate in today’s increasingly mobile and geographically disconnected workplace.

Our current customers have no need to worry. We won’t be providing you with less support, fewer features, or diminished attention. We’ll just be giving you more awesomeness. Look for more information from us in the near future.

ThinkingPhones is poised to be the most interesting and valuable company in the UC space. It’ll take time, and toil, and a few sleepless nights, but we are glad to join their journey.
