Last night marked the fourth annual Boston Tech Jam on City Hall Plaza. Over 5,000 recent grads, entrepreneurs, and tech workers showed up to learn more about the innovation that is happening across the Hub. This was Fuze’s second time participating in the event and we all had an amazing time.
With over 90 companies sponsoring or exhibiting, it was easy to get lost in the crowd and miss out on some cool giveaways and great technology. Here’s our review of the best of the event.
Best Contest
Big props to TimeTrade for “Pie your Luck.” The company set up a mini-pie contest giving away company-branded T shirts or Red Sox tickets. The setup was creative and stood out among the plentiful lawn game options. This participant wasn’t so lucky!
Most Creative Campaign
Talent Retriever, a recruiting agency based in North Andover, stood out as the company with the most creative idea for me. With a play on the company name, they partnered with Sweet Paws Rescue and brought in puppies that were up for adoption. Puppies! Each visitor who pet a pup got a cute sticker, thereby increasing awareness and buzz about both organizations at the event.
Best Photo Booth
TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, had a clever photo booth with green screen present at the event, allowing visitors to customize where they wanted to be.
Best Swag
FirstPro, a staffing and recruiting firm, definitely paid attention to the forecast when planning its swag items. From water bottles to sunscreen, the swag screamed practicality, especially when it came to carrying everything around.
Best Treat
Constant Contact, an email marketing company, provided delicious slushies. Perfect during the first half of Tech Jam when the sun blazed down on City Hall Plaza!
Most Rockin’ Site
